New report finds blogs have ‘an increasing influence on consumers’

Blogs are beginning to have more influence on consumer spending habits than social networks, according to a new study.

The report by JupiterResearch, which was sponsored by BuzzLogic, found that regular readers of weblogs are more likely to trust content on those sites than information on networking portals, according to RetailerDaily.

In news which may be of interest to businesses looking to integrate direct marketing campaigns with emerging platforms, it was also found technology-based blogs were the most popular type of the sites.
